first ever craft show by CraftWings!

omg today was so so so exciting, seems like a mix of all emotions that exist. i was worried, happy, anxious, nervous, excited..everything at the same time. a really tiny small beginning...

handcrafted shagun envelopes

'shagun', defined in the Indian culture as 'auspicious gift' is a small amount of cash given as a token of love and blessings. an integral part of any occassion, shagun can look best when given in such pretty envelopes.

we made these over this weekend for our upcoming craft show on 27th of Feb at the Panjab University Law Dept. had an amazing time making them. it wouldn't have been the same had i been alone in this and gratefully i have got an equally crazy sister to help me with this!

our first ever craft show is coming up in two weeks!!

along with my cousin, we will be bringing some awesome handmade stuff at her college fest at the Punjab University. that folks is one of the oldest universities in India and she is studying to e a lawyer. but just like me, has that creative bug within her which made us team up together for this event. 

today's diy sunday was spent making these awesome diaries/notebooks/journals whatever you wish to call them..

i just love love love making these diaries. we have got of loads of options to write online, but holding a pen in your hand and actually putting down your thoughts in ink is something totally different, something that i doubt will ever go out of fashion. were it not for writing diaries and journals, we would never have known Anne Frank!
